The tradition of gleaning–cleaning the fields of unmarketable fruits and vegetables and donating them to feed the hungry–continues in Albany.
Capital Roots hosts several afternoons of gleaning throughout the fall. It’s a wonderful volunteer opportunity for an important community cause. If you’d like the chance to get involved and join a gleaning yourself, email Cheryl at Cheryl today at squashhunger@capitalroots.org.
