The video below features Alexander Monticello checking in with our latest statistics from around the Capital Region. In a nutshell:

1. Pending homes are up by 1%.
2. Home sales are up by 1%.
3. Closed sales are down.  Alex explained that he thinks that is from a lack of inventory.
4. The open houses that we have had recently have had an above average turnout with 10-14 parties at each one.
5. Based on the interest in the open houses. we think that it will be a busy first quarter in 2019.
6. Alex went to a conference where Hugh Johnson Advisors talked about their prediction for 2019 and it may be possible that interest rates can rise another 1/2 to 3/4 of a point.
