Jon Shideler joined Monticello Real estate as Marketing and Transaction Coordinator in August. Ever since he has come on board, he as worked some magic with marketing our listings, awakening our social media presence, and marketing the agency as a whole. One of the recent projects he took on was to put together this video about the benefits of being an agent at Monticello Real Estate.

Two of our agents are featured in the video. Brooke Chaffee-Zayas came to Monticello Real Estate about 2 years ago, and Caitlin Montalvo has been an agent for almost three years.
One of the benefits of working as a Real Estate Agent with Monticello Real Estate is the support that each agent gets from Broker, Alex Monticello. One of Alex’s priorities for his company is how he can make each agent more successful and help build their business. He does this by helping them with listings, providing them with leads, or just offering expertise and guidance whenever an agent has a question. Caitlin mentions in the video that, “his (Alex’s) top priority is to support the agents, and that’s his number one focus. He does work with his own clientele, but priority number one, since I’ve joined Monticello has always been about supporting the agents.”
Another benefit at Monticello Real Estate is the technology component to the office. Alex is very aware that to stay current in the real estate industry – you need to stay on top of new technology and change with the times. He is not afraid to embrace new ways to showcase listings and try new and innovative ways to showcase the agency. Some examples include social media, professional photos, videos, custom web sites, and our newest addition – the Matterport camera – which allows us to create 3D virtual tours for our listings.
In the video, Caitlin says, “Recently purchasing a Matterport camera for the office has really changed how we do business, and it provides really high level photographs, and walk-through tours.”
Brooke also talks about the importance of technology in regards to photography. She says, “We do professional photographs on all of our listings, and that is something that is so important to Monticello agents. We don’t put any listing out there that doesn’t have that professional white glove touch.”
Another important benefit of working at Monticello Real Estate is the team aspect. The agents at Monticello Real Estate all work together and work collaboratively. Brooke notes, “Alex has created an environment where it’s fun, and we all know each other in the office. We get together, we have happy hours, and we do things in the community.” Even though each agent is an independent contractor, there is a definite feeling of a teamwork, and camaraderie at Monticello Real Estate.
