We recently sat down and chatted with Licensed Real Estate Agent, Shelbie Northup. The video is below.

Shelbie grew up in Delmar and has lived in Clifton Park for four years, and she loves being a realtor. She says, “I love helping people find their house. The excitement of when they find that house and they know it’s the one and you can just see their faces beaming. It’s such a big thing in people’s lives, and then to be able to be a part of it is just amazing.”

Shelbie loves that she has become friends with her clients. She knows what is going on in their lives- whether it’s a pregnancy, a new job, or some other milestone. She loves that her clients are like family and she is part of it. She said, “I have had two clients who have had a baby, and I feel like I was part of that process. I got to see pictures, I went to a gender reveal, and you become a part of these people’s lives.”

Shelbie recently has take up running and she is obsessed with it. She said, “It’s just getting out there and doing it and getting out of your comfort zone. A lot of the runs also benefit charitable organizations. Shelbie mentioned, “I have run two Veteran’s Runs, and the last run was for the Arthritis Foundation. I get to do something I love, and it benefits people as well.” Right now, Shelbie is currently training for the Seneca 7 Race in April, which is a relay race that goes around Seneca Lake in western New York.

When Shelbie is not showing homes, or running races, she is spending time with her boys who are 7 and 12.
